Change Of Plans
Blah… I hate it when life throws curve balls.
It seems we are going to have from 2-4 kids staying with us at any time from June 16th through the 30th for part of their Summer Vacation, which means… little to no PS3 gaming for me. This means that getting MGS4 on release isn’t the best idea.
In light of this development, I’ve re-arranged my priorities for games and such, and have come up with the following:
Since Buy.com has the DualShock 3 controller on sale today, I’ll be using some of my PrizeRebel.com points to help pay for that. After that, I won’t have the points to pre-order MGS4 for free, so I’ll continue to look to get MGS4 for free after the kids leave (filling out surveys or nab a sale on it… who knows!?).
I’m also still attempting to score a trade on Heavenly Sword, which, if it falls through, I will quite possibly be without for another couple months. Hey, I’ve waited this long, what’s a little more?
Level 50 & Waiting
I hit level 50 around midnight, on Friday. That being said, I haven’t played at all since then.
I’ve worn myself out over the past few weeks, grinding away, having fun, but keeping consistent. Now, I’m thinking a break may help. I didn’t get on the game all weekend, and it may be another few nights before I do. But, when I do get on, I don’t feel like leveling another toon, that’s for sure.
I’ll probably do what Holydragon suggests and just recruit for a while, for a week or more. I’ll help anyone that asks, but really, I’ve no desire to grind again at all right now, nor to even run instances.
I just hope they get some elder-game content in soon, because other than seeing the sights, there isn’t a whole lot for me to do.
46 Spy LFVacation!
I pushed from 39 to 46 this past weekend on my Spy and I think I burnt myself out, at least some. We had a weekend PvP war, and truthfully it was great until Sunday, where we proceeded to die consistently, even against the same level ranges with the same member count. Our clan is amazingly not ready for PvP, and the lack of 50s doesn’t help.
We’ve got lots of training to do, and me being a General I believe I need to take part in this. Problem is, I have little desire to play TR at all, truthfully. I played some last night and ground CP assault tokens, but other than that, right now, I’m just exhausted.
I haven’t been feeling great in the real life I live, add that to being down because of PvP and the direction the clan is to be headed, and I’m just wanting to get away for a little while. It’s not just a TR thing, I’m amazingly bored with my normally un-boring day-job as a web programmer. It feels like I just need to get out.
We’ve got a clan meeting this weekend, and I’m sure the issues regarding our clan war (and devastating loss) will be brought up, and that we’re going to be pushing for people to hit 50, and soon.
At least I’m almost there on one of my toons.
Still In Downtime Mode
It’s been a long week. I’ve been real busy with non-game stuff, and it’s getting to the point where I just hope my video card shows up soon. I’ve been staying entertained as best as I can, but I’d really like to get some TR in.

Downtime – No Tabula Rasa Due To Graphic Card RMA
My 7900 GT went bezerk on Thursday, and I’ve got an RMA setup with the Manufacturer. They’ve been great, but this is my second RMA for the same card in under a year. I can’t say that I’m overly joyful about this, as I’m not sure what’s going on. It’s been causing me nothing but issues lately, and I’d just like to replace it. I guess eyeballing those new 9600gt’s isn’t helping.
I should be gaming again by the end of the week (at least by the end of March).
