More Carbon Impressions
June 22, 2008 at 5:37 pm (Gaming, PS2, PS3) (Carbon, Gaming, Metal Gear, MGS3, Most Wanted, Need For Speed, PS2, PS3, Underground)
Having 4 kids around the house today doesn’t allow for very much gaming “alone time” – in other words, playing some more of Metal Gear Solid 3 really isn’t an option today.
So, I spent more time with Need For Speed: Carbon.
I’ve gotten past the first boss, and now have a better impression of the game. I’m using a tier 2 car, and have done a few post-boss races.
It apparently gets better than what was my first impression.
I tend to forget that Need For Speed: Underground was tons of fun for me as well, even though Most Wanted was easily my favorite. I have to say, it seems like they were trying to combine both Underground and Most Wanted in this game, and they didn’t succeed to the level I would have liked.
But it’s still a cool game.
Now I’ve learned more about wing-men (scouts are sweet), canyon racing (drifting can get crazy), and boss battles (interesting races, that’s for sure).
I do enjoy the game, and I may even complete it (I stopped playing Most Wanted at like 95% complete).
I’m still jones’n for more Meta Gear, though
